One of my personal favorite color combos--shades of purple with the fuschia accents-hydrangea ,anemone,orchid blooms and yes, purple carnations!

Favorites for brides

Have I mentioned that we love peonies--no wonder, that 2 of our favorite bridal bouquets include peonies-the top one has a mix of white flowers--sweet peas, lisianthus, veronica, peony, hydrangea just to name a few!

Here we our design included stock, tulips, roses, geranium foliage and roses--both of the bouquets smelled divine!

Shades of pink-- you just can't go wrong--dahlia,sweet peas, roses, ranunucla--so sweet and romantic.

The Four Seasons fall weddings!

A beautiful fall palette for a recent event-- rich, warm reds,oranges and a hint of purple. These are a few pro pics from Stella Alesi-- absolutely gorgeous photos.

The bride and groom lived in Amsterdam, so it was planning a very long distance! I had been referred to her by a past bride (thanks so much!). We met in person one time-the rest of the planning was done via email and phone-- with a package of samples,swatches in between.

Every detail carefully executed-- the cookies were prepared with a recipe from the groom's grandmother.

Classics--red,black and white

 

Red is an all time favorite-- we design many weddings with the color combo of red,black and white/silver.  I can't even begin to tell you the different combinations we see! This is a wedding from last fall--notice the beautiful vintage belt on the brides dress-- it was really exquisite--I might have this wrong, but I believe it was made by her mom?  Even though all the flowers were red, we isolated out individual varieties-each bridesmaid carrying a different variety with the bride carrying a combination of a lot of  red flowers!

Fall has arrived!

Here is one of our first fall weddings of the season-- and even the weather cooperated for us!

I love centerpieces with multiple components, the tall square featured a floating candle and the small squares featured collections of seasonal fall flowers and berries-- some of our favorites--dahlias, freesia, tulips, scabiosa and berries.

 

This was the complementing centerpieces-- round vases with floating candles and flowers.  The brides requests included a mix of round and squares-the tables were a mix of shapes and candles!

 

A cute cocktail piece--leaving lots of room for those adult beverages!

We called this Orange Crush--every orange flower we could get our hands on--

Lilies, orchids, dahlia,ranunucla, spider gerbera daisy---

 

We added a splash of yellow for a tropical sunset-

can you tell we have vacation on the brain!

Lilies, spider gerbera daisy, soft yellow roses, circus roses and orchid blooms!

 

And the ever popular mango miniature calla lilies--we are often asked about the cost of these particular flowers-

I believe there are 2 significant reasons that keep the cost escalated..

supply and demand-they remain one of the fall's most requested flowers and

they are a slow producing plant-meaning they do not produce as many blooms per plant and acre than other plants.

We make sure that we use them in the most important places!

One of the more pricier flowers in the fall (well, really anytime) but nothing compares!

We only met one timeThis bridesmaids bouquet was designed to complement a chocolate brown gown.
