This wonderful reception was held on the property in a beautiful pavillion--not built specifically for the reception, but given a facelift and enhancements for the big day!! The long tables featured combinations of tall centerpieces and low accent pieces.

This adorable cake was made by the bride's sister in law, we placed it on a gorgeous floral plateau.

Wasabi and pumpkin... the ceremony

This beautiful hand carved cross was presented on a bed of gorgeous flowers-- it was especially made for this ceremony--stunning.

The doors leading into the residence--did I mention, this event took place at a private residence. I love this welcoming touch.

The streamers give you some indication of our windy afternoon-- definitely presented a challenge.

These are the moments that make our "jobs" all worthwhile.

Wasabi and pumpkin....spring 2010

These images arrived recently from one of my favorite 2010 weddings... I usually do not do a year end recap, there is absolutely no way to pick favorites. But really, this was one of my favorites... These bridesmaids bouquets are adorably cute--all shades of orange to complement the green gowns.

And one of my favorite bridal bouquets--I love the garlands of stephanotis--dreamy..

One of the most darling brides in recent memory--it was an absolute pleasure to work with her and her family.

Summer time succulents

2010 brought us the opportunity to use alot of succulents--we loved them in bouquets and this bouquet was no exception.

We have made this version of orange and green a few times, each time just a little different to meet the brides vision.

I loved this sweet bouttoniere--a collection of blooms, not just a single bloom for the lapel--once again a personal preference of style.

Summer time orange!

I love opening my inbox and getting a portfolio of photos from a wedding past--in this case last summer!

The ceremony took place at The Smith Family Chapel (Riverbend) with the reception at Barton Creek Country Club.

I loved, loved the presentation of the bridesmaids dresses-- so sweet and summery--all in a shade of champagne, not sure if they are the same designer or if the girls got to choose-but super adorable!

The bouquets were a combination of circus roses and orange orchid blooms--sweet and simple-- when the dresses are short and flirty the flowers should reflect the same feel! More later.....

Another shade of blue

I love the look of tossing petals-- always picture perfect!

Personal touches --these 7 cymbidium orchids represented the 7years the bride and groom had been together.

These shades of orange remind me of sunsets ( I just saw a few awesome ones in Hawaii!)-- the soft peach was added in to tone down the orange!

These were really great suits for the guys--a silvery blue tone-the bridesmaids dresses were almost the same shade, the suits had a bit of texture. Really terrific details.

Elegant fall

 

I am absolutely loving the gorgeous fall weather that has finally arrived here in Austin, Tx.

These bouquets were designed for our bride on this past Friday night,what a glorious evening-I know she was relieved to have the weather cooperate.  Her bouquet featured some of our favorite fall elements- miniature mango calla lilies, orange mokara orchids, leondis and milva roses accented with brown hypericum berries.

 

The 3 bridesmaids carried simple,elegant bouquets of the mango miniature calla lilies--they were French braided with a copper ribbon to coordinate with the mocha gowns with copper sashes.

 

The bouquet in the bottom of the frame belongs to the maid of honor- she had a bouquet similar to the bride just a bit smaller. This was an outdoor ceremony and reception on a beautiful fall evening!

A few more favorites

 

Although summer is coming to a close, this bouquet brings back fond memories of fruity flavored sherberts-- simple and sweet, roses and yes, that is miniature carnations.

 

If you've read our blog for more than a moment you know we love orange flowers-- just a fun mix--roses, gerbera daisies, tulips, dahlia, celosia to name a few.

 

And then there's red--let me know if there is something in particular you would like to see or hear about.

Orange again!

The many shades of orange

 

Orange is a perennial favorite--maybe it's those Longhorns or maybe because we have so many glorious flowers in shades of oranges--the orange gerbera daisies always provide a pop of color-they complemented the many shades of miniature calla lilies- yellow, mango and burgandy.

 

I love these shoes-- the was a summer bouquet--mango mini calla, circus roses and orange spray roses.

Allison, with the bridesmaids--that's Jeanna on the left with the orange dahlias and the twin boys that we are anxiously awaiting to meet--next to Allison on the left, our niece Natalie, with the orange roses- and Allison's new sister in law Michelle with the mango mini callas. Orange was a strategically placed accent-bridesmaids flowers and petals, lots of petals for the aisle and the tables.
