Texas Old Town in the fall!

Just received these photos from the mother of the bride from a wedding last November.
This is Texas Old Town in Kyle, Tx--it has a definite elegant rustic feel.
The out door area features a large open air pavillion-- the bride chose all fuschia flowers to complement the teal/turquoise gowns and to complement her sash.

The tall pieces were a combination of curly willow and orchids accented with candles.

The low pieces featured miniature fuschia calla lilies and candles-- the ribbon was the perfect match to the bridesmaids dresses.
Thanks for sharing the photos.

Wedding season is here!

One of our favorite details from last years wedding season!
Cute, sassy hair flowers!

This composition reminds me of all the beautiful flowers that I get to work with each and every week-

Hanging candles remain one of our signature elements--they add drama and elegance!
I can't wait to share this seasons favorites--believe it or not,we already have some fun things we've designed-I'll be sharing soon and on a regular basis:)

Coral part 2

Last spring, this bouquet featured some of the first peonies that we received! This is one of my favorite bouquets of spring flowers-tulips,peony, stock, roses-all white!

The bridesmaids bouquets landed on the beverage station for the reception--a change from the "normal" cake table placement.

The butter colored stock accented with the ambience roses and finished with coral gerbera daisy and hypericum berries.

Boys and girls together!

Coral- what shade are you?

Flowers can be a great complement to a simple cake--the square cake has turned into a classic style.

Coral -- it is defined in so many shades--this is the one color that we insist on a swatch or paper swatch-I have seen it range any where from this muted shade to a brighter shade of almost red/orange.

The chairs have simple adornments--ribbons and flowers.

A cake with peonies at The Driskill

One of my favorite cakes from last spring-- so unusual, the different proportions, the henna pattern all executed beautifully by the pastry chef at The Driskill hotel.

A cake top of light pink peonies--sometimes simple is best.

One of my favorite photos --classic and timeless!

Green for the spring!

I love green--all things green! This fondant ribbon on the cake was perfect, I love the different patterns on each layer.
The green spiders were a great compliment.

The bridal bouquet was filled with green, orange and yellow. I loved the mix of the these colors, just feels like spring.

Another church arrangement--I like to show different pieces from a single wedding so that you can see how it all relates to each other.

Wintery white

This is one of my favorite bridal bouquets from the winter-- all in shades of white accented with the silver berries and dusty miller foliage--perfect for the platinum and white color palette.

Miniature calla lilies, sweet peas, tulips, hydrangea, ranunucla to name a few-- definitely one of my favorites of the winter season.

Purple part 2

Another bridesmaid bouquet-- they also had iris and the dusty miller--the grey foliage--I always love that for a winter touch.

The adorable bouttonieres-- a cluster of grape hyacinth accented with the dusty miller and touch of ribbon.

A very simple grandmothers corsage-- lavender freesia and grape hyacinth .

Royale's purple

A recent wedding of all things purple-- and really all things purple.
The bridesmaids bouquets ( all 10 of them) featured an electic combo of purple flowers-- lisianthus, hydrangea, anemone, freesia, sweet peas and grape hyacinth. This is a great example of a small, luxurious bouquet-- full of texture and variety.

I love the personal touches--these broaches were on all of the bouquets--each one different-provided by the bride.

The Bride-- a gorgeous all white bouquet featuring gardenias and white hydrangea-- finished with the ostrich feathers and an antique broach and a beaming smile!
Thanks to Tyler at Schmitt photography for these photos!

Almost Valentines Day 2010

I had a great couple for a Valentines weekend wedding--I will admit, it does present its challenges, the pricing is crazy and somewhat out of our control--we were lucky to work with a flexible bride to get the final look without breaking the bank!

The bridal bouquet was a mix of white, green and a touch of red-- her mom did most of the planning and presented us with her favorite photos and we took it from there!

The wedding and ceremony were held at One World Theatre--
check out more photos over on the blog
Thanks Carli for the photos!

Winter reception - pop of pink

The reception featured a combination of tall and low centerpieces--
the tall centerpieces were all white with a touch of bling hanging and a few sparkly branches.
Notice the beautiful lighting on the walls.

The low centerpieces were all pink-- the vase was accented with the platinum ribbon.

This is one of the tables with the tall centerpieces-- notice how easily guests can see around the flowers--this is always a concern of ours!

Pop of pink- winter style!

Catching up on a few of our winter events--
I loved this bright pink bridal bouquet--the simplicity of the bridal gown was a perfect backdrop for this PINK bouquet--roses and calla lilies with a little touch of bling.

The bridesmaid wore a beautiful platinum floor length gown-- a formal, 7pm Catholic ceremony.

The bridesmaids bouquets were more pink flowers--I am loving ruffles at the moment--so I thought the ruffle detail was so adorable on these gowns.
