Lakeway Resort and Spa part 2

These images are from Vanessa
The fuschia accents were inspired by these adorable bridesmaids dresses-- flirty and summery, perfect for the fourth of July weekend.

Vanessa is one of our favorite photographers because of shots like this- amazing.

A few details-- tables featured tall pilsner vases with Bells of Ireland, green goddess callas and fuschia stock on citron green linens with gold chivari chairs. A simple cake, Grace's mom made the cake stand--so very simple and elegant. I recently saw something like this on a wedding blog--could this be  a trend in the making?

Lakeway Resort and Spa- austin wedding flowers

Simplicity at its finest-- part of the Vistas ballroom transformed to a ceremony site.
Gold chivari chairs, aisle runner, petals and glass cylinders featuring a floating candle accented a pair of arrangements of green goddess callas, white hydrangea and a touch of fuschia.

Overlooking the parched Lake Travis-- one of the great features of this room is the screens that can cover the floor to ceiling windows- helps keep the temperature comfortable.

I love these brown metal containers, they are a new addition and will look great with some of our fall weddings.

Petals, runner and candles.  I'm always hesitant about the burning candles and water so close to the guests, usually not a problem--we did lose one this time, thank goodness it was as the guests were exiting, it wasn't all that bad.

Happy Birthday Mom and Brittney

Mom hard at work, maybe a few laughs along the way!!!!

Here is Brittney with her grandmothers-- she shares her birthday with my mom. If you've seen us out and about my mom is usually in the mix-- can't wait to have her back in the design room, we've missed her this summer.

Backyard wedding

Here was the ceremony setting for Allison and Chris-- this was truly a family affair. Her dad crafted the arbor which we embellished with a little fabric, hanging candles, and orchid garlands. The orange petals lined the perimeter of the  aisle and each row of chairs featured a floral accent.

That's the talented KellyJefferson getting a few shots-- all of the white stock left a fragrant aroma on this gorgeous afternoon--not too hot, not too cold. Oh Texas if only you could have this weather!

The 100something cupcakes made by Allison's mom--some her signature Italian nut and some red velvet.
Did I mention that Allison and Chris were married by her older brother?  Truly a family affair.

Sunny Southern California

These pro shots are from  Kelly Jefferson
Check out her blog and all the great shots-- she is in the greater LA area.  She spent the entire afternoon/evening capturing these shots and everyone I've seen have been great.  A very understated but talented young lady. Good Luck Kelly and look us up if you ever make it to Austin!
Now back to Allison and Chris.

Remember my flower girl craftiness--5 baskets, 5 headbands and 5 adorable young ladies.

Allison, with the bridesmaids--that's Jeanna on the left with the orange dahlias and the twin boys that we are anxiously awaiting to meet--next to Allison on the left, our niece Natalie, with the orange roses- and Allison's new sister in law Michelle with the mango mini callas. Orange was a strategically placed accent-bridesmaids flowers and petals, lots of petals for the aisle and the tables.

And a final shot of the flower girl, Sierra.

Sneak peak--Allison and Chris

Look at all my craftiness! Anyone who really knows me, knows that this kind of craftiness is a labor of love, as it is not my forte'-- so imagine my surprise when I realized I would be designing baskets and hairbands for 5, yes 5 flower girls.  Remember I am in SoCal solo-- no awesome staff to take over this task for me!

Remember my brother in law with the "Beware cards"-- this is day we had been forewarned about! As a gushing aunt, could Allison look any more radiant?

Our best employee!

A few weekends ago we had the opportunity to head to Southern California to work on our niece Allison's wedding. (I'll show pics tomorrow ), in the meantime, we also got to hang out with our great-nephew E, who got in on the petalling project.

With a little help from Uncle Looch, he had it down in no time!

Lucky for Allison, most of the petals ended up in the bag!

More details from Vintage Villas

Each chair featured a floral accent--pink and green.

These arrangements featuring small manzanita wiht orchids, spider mums and a few pink petals were placed on the cocktail tables.

This was an extra large manzanita tree with a few blingy and a lush bed of petals-- this was transformed to  a wish tree--each guest left a little note tied to the branches-- I always love this idea.

We caught a shot once the candles had been lit-- each table had about a dozen candles.

Outdoor wedding Vintage Villas

Not long ago, we spent a summer Sunday afternoon setting up this ceremony and reception at Vintage Villas.  Becky worked with Marisel throughout the process-what started as a small morning wedding with 30 or so guests ended up being an afternoon ceremony with about 100 guests! Funny how things change--Barbara helped with the planning process, as Marisel was out of town and an extremely busy bride.
The tables featured gold chivari chairs, gold rimmed chargers, ivory satin chair ties, tall centperieces with votive candles suspended on crystals.

This was one of the hottest days on record! The ceremony area featured hot pink sashes on every chair-hanging roses in the back of the gazebo, a pair of arrangements, flowers studded across the front of the gazeboe, 16 shepherds hook featuring iron lattice cones and flowers and finished with pink petals.

A beautiful setting for an afternoon event--how can we get air conditioning out here?
The bridesmaids wore a soft green chiffon dress.

These gold branches  were draped with a 100 ft of glass crystals and finished with hanging orchid garlands.

More from the Bridal Extravaganza

A few more bouttonieres-- anything with berries is always a hit with the guys, not too frilly or fluffy!

One of our favorites in white- dendrobium orchid blossoms-

Green spider mums-- accented with berries and ladies mantle-- green is starting to feel as classic as white!

Mundap garland

We got a last minute call ( about 2 weeks prior to this ceremony) to help with the garland.
The mundap was brought in from a temple and we finished with the plumosa garland studded with  yellow and hot pink blooms.

Chapel at Villa Antonia part 2

These gorgeous photos were sent over by Marie at Pinkposh-
the colors are absolutely stunning!

The tall centerpieces featured submerged orange roses on the citron green linens.

The bride loved calla liles, a combo of both the large and small with a few stephanotis blossoms.

The ledges in the chapel--the finishing touch, soft candlelight, cascading foliage and colorful peonies, roses and gerbera daisies.
