Summer chuppah--Four Seasons

I just received these images a few weeks ago from a wedding we designed last summer--
we are always happy for an indoor event in the brutal Texas heat.
I loved the soft pastel colors of this event accented with a touch of dark chocolate brown.

Cori and Daniel--
A small world, 12ish or more years ago Daniel was one of our first employees at our pizza place, his sister became an acquaintance from the wedding industry and literally by chance Cori contacted us about wedding flowers.
Who knew?
The entire "stage" and stairs were covered for a very clean, simple ceremony area.

Centerpieces.

One of the benefits of "flipping" a ceremony space into a reception space--the centerpieces can double duty as aisle decor.
This is one of the times that repurposing arrangements can work-- remember there is additional labor involved in this transition but it certainly can be worth it.

Goodbye May!

This is how our May began--bright,sunny and full of lilies!
Had so much fun working with Susan and her dad-a beautiful Sunday morning wedding on the lawn at The Four Seasons,Austin.

Inside-- all white with sunny flowers! Our directions included only lilies and tulips please!

The ballroom set beautifully--hemstitched linens, white chivari, hemstitch napkins and lots of lilies and tulips :) What a way to start off May!

Lakeway Resort and Spa- austin wedding flowers

Simplicity at its finest-- part of the Vistas ballroom transformed to a ceremony site.
Gold chivari chairs, aisle runner, petals and glass cylinders featuring a floating candle accented a pair of arrangements of green goddess callas, white hydrangea and a touch of fuschia.

Overlooking the parched Lake Travis-- one of the great features of this room is the screens that can cover the floor to ceiling windows- helps keep the temperature comfortable.

I love these brown metal containers, they are a new addition and will look great with some of our fall weddings.

Petals, runner and candles.  I'm always hesitant about the burning candles and water so close to the guests, usually not a problem--we did lose one this time, thank goodness it was as the guests were exiting, it wasn't all that bad.

Weddings at home

This is a ceremony site that was set up at the parents of one of our brides.
Rain was threatening but the show must go on! The brides mom was very resourceful and provided alot of the elements at this event.  We hung the billowing white fabric - it was a lightweight cotton twill- I wished it would have been a lighter weight fabric to catch the breeze softly.

This was the "altar" area-- we were challenged to create a beachy, destination feel in the middle of the Texas Hill Country--a tropical oak grove??
We added the awesome monstera foliage and hanging orchid garlands.

The plastic is covering the aisle runner that was placed by the family-- of course the plastic was removed for the actual ceremony.  This was the entrance that was used by the bridal party- I honestly do not know if this is the same entrance used by the guests?
Tomorrow I'll post the tented reception!
