Whimsy

 

A few weeks ago I attended an industry networking event-this was one of our take home treats.

The cookies are cleverly displayed on a fondant covered base, so it looks like cake!

Another whimsical cake-- these types of cakes usually do not feature flowers--out of respect to the baker, the time and effort to create this should not be fussed up with flowers!

Thought I would get Monday going with a bit of sweetness, possibly because we consumed too much cake last night at Lindsay and James wedding!

I was lucky enough to sample the above cake this past fall-- it was as delicious as it was beautiful.

 

Fresh flowers can be the perfect finishing touch.....
