Where did 2011 go?

It seems just like yesterday that we were beating the heat.. and here we are about to ring in the New Year!
Purple remained a very strong color throughout 2011, what will be popular in 2012?

Purple was paired with so, so many combos--this late fall selection featured colorful flowers--greesn, oranges, fuschia, pink and a pop of purple.

Bride chose a hint of white along with combo of purples.
What is your color combo? Need to see any examples of specific colors? Let me know, as I go through all of our latest images, I'd be happy to share!
Thanks to Daniel C photography for the images :)

Winfield Inn- the summer.

June, oh June. We didn't even know that 100+ degrees would be our normal, but the good news- we survived.
Just one of the early summer weddings held outdoors-- the bride had one of my favorite wedding dresses ( you've probably seen the back over on pinterest--the pretty lace cutout)

Sweet green bridesmaids dressed accented with our colorful flowers---orange, yellow and greens--

More to come later--
Thanks to Stacy Cross for all the pro images.

Cake table!

Cake table decor instead of cake decor..
I loved this idea of a great display to frame the cake instead of flowers actually placed on the cake!

Friday favorite...

Friday favorite-- a recent bridal bouquet ( not white!?) looking for a little drama-- ostrich feathers, deep plum miniature calla liles and ahd wired cascading orchids blooms.

Vintage Villas open house--Sunset room!

We dressed the Sunset room in more yellow!! Appropriate for a late afternoon open house.. one of our favorite treatments, really for anything-- yards of ribbons with a few floral accents.

Long dinner table filled with lanterns, wine bottles, wood boxes, florals in yellow and white, succulents..a great table to enjoy my lunch.

A little closer ....

Our version of sunshine....

A few weeks ago, we headed out to Vintage Villas for a Sunday afternoon open house and yes, it was hot!
These adorable pomanders graced the aisle chairs..

these crystal curtains hung from the gazebo, accented with mercury glass and a few randomly placed daisies.

Adds a touch of elegance to this outdoor lake venue--I can see these at so many places...

Oh, fall wedding flowers....

As we patiently wait the fall season, after our brutally hot summer, I thought I would share some favorites from last fall.
A bridal bouquet filled with seasonal fall flowers--dahlias, scabiosa, lisianthus, miniature calla liles, protea just to name a few.

Bridesmaids had very similar bouquets, smaller and with less purple...

And ceremony decor to finish the look---
thanks to Vanessa for the images.

Succulents.....

Looking back on a wedding from fall 2010....a destination wedding that took place in Horseshoe Bay.
A few requests from the bride and groom--lots of orange ( Longhorn pride), a multicultural ceremony (Vietnamese+Christian),
succulents (their favorites) and simple.
The brides bouquet--delivered at 8am for the Vietnamese tea ceremony and still looking gorgeous for the evening ceremony and reception.

Possibly, one of my favorite centerpieces of all time--a combination of pillar candles, succulents and cactus--simple, elegant with a hint of organic.

Bride and bridesmaids.
Thanks to Hooked On photography for these images.

Bright as Sunshine-- yellow

Photographers always come up with these amazing "ring shots"--this time using
craspedia as the prop.

This is such a cute cake with its very simple textured icing and the pop of yellow--this time ranunucla.

And the bride-- her favorite, gerbera daisy with the accents of craspedia, and freesia.
Thanks to Rebel with a Camera for the images.

Yellow= springtime sweet.

My inbox is overflowing with gorgeousness--
some of the springs favorites--absolutely love the sweet, soft, feminine feel to this bride.

Super adorable blue bridesmaids dresses, just a touch of ruffles and accented with yellow.

This touch of blue--tweedia. Lovely for the spring.
Now its time to confess--I do not know where these images originated--photographer, if these were done by you, please remind me so I can give proper credit:(

Time flies....

I'm guilty, I've let this blog down-- we've been designing like crazy over here. I can't believe its been more than (gasp) 7 weeks since I've posted anything-- not even a tiny teaser photo.

I've thought about it often, just couldn't find a moment to coherently put the fingers to the keyboard--don't worry , our facebook is equally neglected, anything new over there is usually posted by an outside party! So don't worry, I'm going to be back--so many awesome events this spring and summer-- so stay tuned--thanks for your patience!
Stephanie

A few of our summer favorites!

Note: these images are not professional, trying to get a few snapshots to share with all of you!
Definitely one of my favorite elements from this summer, not to mention for a great bride!
This lovely was just waiting for a gorgeous cake to be placed in the middle. (There is a video over on our facebook page that shows its gorgeousness)

Yellow, yellow roses with a hint of coral--hello white pintuck linens.

A stunning head table, candles, flowers and all!

The tall design for some of the tables--look at those gorgeous coral charm peonies--some of the prettiest we've ever seen--just in time for the wedding!

And another favorite--suspended crystal column--love, love the elegant touch it brought to this country club ballroom!
I can't wait to see pro images--the video was amazing.
